4 Makeup Tricks To Get You From Drab To Fab

If you’re looking worse for wear after Christmas festivities here are 4 quick makeup tips to get you looking fresh and fabulous…just in time for New Years!

1. Undereye concealer

The eyes are the quickest giveaway to how tired we’re feeling. So grab a concealer brush or any soft, thin makeup brush and dab into a small amount of yellow-based concealer. Lightly go over any dark lines or patchiness as well as the inner corner of the eye near the nose – and remember less is more.

2. Bronzer is best

If we’ve had too much to drink we instantly look drab and washed out. Dust a little bronzer over the forehead, cheekbones, down the length of the nose and around the jawline to look healthy again.

3. Go easy on the lips

Keep lips young and dewy with a light lip gloss or simply your favourite nourishing lip balm. Dark colours or too much shimmer can be too harsh on post-party skin.

4. Highlighter is your friend

A light dusting of pink or coral-based highlighter, like Bobbi Brown’s Shimmerbricks, are an instant perk-me-up. But use it with a light hand, too much and you’ll look frosty and weird. Sweep over the cheekbones and up over the temples. It looks great on the eyes too instead of eyeshadow.
