Fashion designer Camilla Franks is one of our fave Aussie success stories, dressing celebrities all over the world in her colourful beachwear-inspired designs. She tells SheSaid how she stays healthy, her must-have beauty products and where she’s off to next!

1. How do you keep fit with such a busy schedule?

It’s all about having a balanced lifestyle, and I achieve this by planning my days. I try to start every day at 6am with an invigorating workout with my personal trainer to kick start my mornings. I have an amazing regime which focuses on strength, inner core and cardio. After my workout I start my working day.

2. Describe a typical days meal plan.

I start my day with a nutritious breakfast, I usually have muesli made with Amaranth seeds and topped with Goji berries and almond milk.

For lunch I usually have a salad with tomato, avocado, feta and cucumber.

For dinner I like to have a omega 3 enriched meal, usually I have citrus marinated grilled salmon with Quinoa salad, often washed down with a glass of red wine which is full of anti-oxidants.

Throughout the day if I get a sugar craving, I like to sip pomegranate juice, because it’s also a rich source anti-oxidants and is a healthy way to energise. One of my favourites is Pom Wonderful.

3. What are your top 5 favourite beauty products?

OPI Nail Polish, I love the huge range of colours they have. Napoleon Perdis are my favourite makeup brand, their matte foundations and amazing eye shadow pallets always make me feel glamorous. Aysana Spray Tans are my fail safe for an even golden bronze spray tan and for hair I always use Goldwell Haircare products for silky-smooth salon finish.

4.Your style is perfect for the Aussie jetsetter – where are you travelling to next and what are some of your favourite travel destinations?

I’ve got a lot of travel planned for this year – for both business and pleasure! Recently I journeyed to Peru in South America which was rich with culture, beautiful food and vibrant in scenery!

My next adventure is right around the corner where I will be jetsetting to Europe, full of my favourite destinations. I will be visiting the likes of Italy and France, seeing some fashion trade shows along the way and indulging in all the European delicacies: sun, food and sites!

5. What’s coming up for the rest of 2012?

The Camilla brand is always on the grow and so far for 2012 I have been working on the launch of my Gypset Collection for women’s, menswear, childrens’ wear, swimwear and homewares.

Also on the cards is potentially a PR trip to the US, the Australian Fashion Festivals and Spring/summer seasonal launches. So lots on as always!
