Jade Brand has partnered with surfing legend “Occy” for this season of Dancing With The Stars – we can’t wait to watch each week! She shares her healthy eating and beauty secrets with SheSaid.

1. What is your eating plan while on Dancing With The Stars?

My plan consists of lots of fresh fruit, vegies and meats. It really important when I’m dancing for 5 hours a day to keep my energy levels up. So I eat a lot of protien from meat and nuts and lots of fresh veggies.



2. What do you eat when you need an energy boost?

Usually a piece of fruit like an apple or a muesli bar with lots of nuts and grains. A couple of coffees are included in there too.. I love my coffee!


3. What are your favourite healthy snacks?

I love raw nuts especially almonds and cashews. Also dried fruit like prunes and apricots.



4. What beauty products wouldn’t you be caught without?

Neutrogena make up remover towelettes, Biore SPF 15 daily moisturizer, Natio moisturizing lip gloss, Clinique mascara and MAC foundation.

5. Can you share your best beauty survival tip?

I always remove my make up before I go to sleep and if using make up removers or cleansers i always rinse my face after.

I also love to moisturise every morning just after a shower to prevent my skin feeling dry and also prevent my skin absorbing my makeup during the day.

Dancing With The Stars is a fantastic show to be a part of. I think this series in particular is going to be a really interesting one as the weeks go by. There are a few big personalities and while we all get along really well, it’s going to be great to watch how everyone copes with the building pressure!
