Angelina Jolie’s French Lessons
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s children are learning French.
The Hollywood couple – who raise children Maddox, nine, Pax, six, Zahara, five, Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, together – are keen for their offspring to embrace the European language to help them understand why the country is important to their family.
Angelina – whose late mother Marcheline Bertrand was of French Canadian descent – said: “Right now they’re in the French programme and they’re doing very well. We want them to learn French and speak French because of our heritage.”
As well as Angelina’s beloved mother, France is special to the couple for other reasons, and was chosen to be the birthplace of their twin babies Knox and Vivienne.
The 35-year-old beauty gave birth to the tots at the Lenval hospital in Nice, France in 2008.
Angelina is busy in London promoting Salt and if that’s not enough she and Brad are now designing a line of children’s clothing – and in true Jolie-Pitt style, it’s for charity.
The collection is inspired by their kid’s favourite pieces, and if it’s anything like the outfits we’ve seen Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh strutting around in, it’s going to be one must-have clothing range. Brad has spent the past week attending meetings in Italy to complete the line, which will see all proceeds being donated to the couple’s charity The Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
