Heidi Klum And Seal Call It Quits

Despite having one of the strongest marriages in Hollywood, Heidi Klum has announced she is getting a divorce from husband Seal.

"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate," Klum said in an exclusive statement to People.

"We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition.

"We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy." While neither Klum nor Seal have indicated why they are separating, TMZ is reporting that she could no longer handle her husband's "volcanic temper."

The model, 38, and British singer, 48, married in 2005 after one of Hollywood's most elaborate wedding proposals: Seal popped the question with a 10-carat yellow diamond ring in a specially-built igloo on top of a glacier in Whistler, Canada. Klum described it as "a once-in-a-lifetime event."

The couple have famously renewed their vows every year, including a white trash wedding when Klum was pregnant with their youngest child, Lou, 2. They are also parents to Leni, 7, Henry, 6 and Johan, 5. In 2009 the Project Runway host took her husband's last name, Samuels.
