Charlize Theron Adopts Baby Boy

Congratulations to Charlize Theron on becoming a mother! The Oscar-winner has adopted a gorgeous baby boy called Jackson!

The 36-year-old actress "is the proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson," her rep said in a statement to PEOPLE magazine.

Theron split from boyfriend of nine years Stuart Townsend in January 2010. Marriage, she said last year, was "never something that was important [to me]."

"I've been in serious relationships from the time I was 19 and I'm single for the first time in my life since then. I had to make a real conscious effort to rediscover myself and it's hard. I'm a creature who has really found her comfort in relationships."

Theron recently starred in Young Adult and apart from two films in post-production, due for release this year, has nothing else on the cards. Looks like she's taking plenty of time out to spend with her little boy!
