Celebrity In Death, by JD Robb. Published by Little Brown Book Group, RRP $32.99.
The latest novel in J.D Robb's addictive 'In Death' series, where Eve Dallas specialises in tracking down those who break the law - including the ones sworn to uphold it. Lieutenant Eve Dallas is no party girl, but she's managing to have a reasonably good time at the celebrity-packed bash celebrating The Icove Agenda, a film based on one of her famous cases. It's a little spooky seeing the actress playing her, who looks almost like her long-lost twin. I recently picked this up and couldn't believe what a treasure it was. Not only is Eleanor Roosevelt one of the original feisty, impressive women we should all aspire to be, but this collection of daily columns is such a brilliant snapshot of history that anyone will enjoy. No wonder she was recently named Woman of the Century!

The First Lady, diplomat and devoted wife and mother wrote a daily newspaper column for 36 years and chronicled it all, from her time as chair of the United Nations Committee on Human Rights, to the pleasures of gardening in her modest upstate New York home. A true inspiration, the book is perfect to go through chronologically, or to open at a random page, and see a moment of time through her fascinating eyes. A must-read.
