Beyonce Addresses Those Fake Pregnancy Rumours

Beyonce opens up for the first time about those "cruel" and "hurtful" rumours that she fakes her pregnancy.

The new mother was accused of faking her pregnancy in October last year when her baby bump seemed to collapse awkwardly under her dress as she sat down for a TV interview.

The internet lit up with rumours that was was wearing a fake baby bump and she was having a baby by surrogacy. But now she's strongly denying those claims and wants to set the record straight.

"I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months," she told People magazine.

"As a mother, it was painful for me to hear the crazy rumours. And I even had people ask me, which was so ridiculous."

But she says the love she felt from fans more than made up for the gossip. "There was so much love and well wishes from all over the world - it made it easier to deal with the stupid rumours."

Beyonce and husband Jay-Z welcomed their daughter Blue Ivy in January.
