Brad Pitt surprised Angelina Jolie with a romantic dinner for two in Paris for her birthday after walking the red carpet for the premiere of his new movie World War Z.
Pitt, 49, arranged the dinner on at the intimate neighbourhood restaurant Il Vino himself, to celebrate Jolie’s 38th birthday.
The couple dined in the back of the restaurant enjoying an indulgent tasting menu with matching French wines.
“Their main plate was langoustines with a French wine,” said one staff member. “And there was a dessert – a cake, because it was her birthday.”
The restaurant, feted for its incredible wine list and located near the Seine, is run by Enrico Bernardo, the youngest-ever winner of the World’s Best Sommelier prize.
“It was very subtle, real cool,” reported one diner, who was dining with her husband when Pitt and Jolie arrived.
“They came in very unobtrusively. It was real fast. They walked by, and I said to my husband, ‘I think I just saw Brad and Angelina walk by us.’ And he said, ‘I think you may have had one glass of wine too many already.'”
