Cocktails For The Weekend: Maker’s Mark Mint Julep

Ingredients

50mls Maker’s Mark

2tsps Sugar Syrup*

10 Mint leaves

Crushed ice


Method

Press mint leaves with sugar syrup, fill glass with crushed ice and pour Maker’s Mark over the ice. Stir through until glass is frosted, top with crushed ice.

Garnish

Large mint sprig

* Sugar Syrup:

1 cup caster sugar

1 cup water


Heat to dissolve sugar stirring constantly so the sugar does not burn. Set aside to cool.
