Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock have been friends since they starred together in Speed and are currently promoting their new film The Lake House. Yes, their dalliance down the red carpet together was all a publicity stunt but at least they tell us these things! (Unlike our least favourite celebrity couple Tom & Katie?) Apparently Sandra and her husband Jesse James aren?t big on red carpet photo ops so he met her later at the Vanity Fair party. We also have to mention Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams. She has certainly lost her dumpy teenage appearance and shone in her canary yellow Vera Wang dress. The pair seemed perfectly happy together and shared many an adoring gaze, despite their obvious discomfort at being in the public eye. At one point in the after party, Benicio del Torro tells Heath: ?I?m upset you didn?t win.? Heath responds ?I was just happy to look at Michelle all night.? Aaaw!

After party gossip
The Vanity Fair party was yet again a sparkling affair. With its guest list cut to 500, Hollywood?s elite drank champagne, nibbled on hors d’oeuvres and lollipops depicting Shirley Temple and Dakota Fanning faces and danced their way through the night. While Reese Witherspoon was over the moon about her Oscar win, her husband Ryan Philippe also had reason to celebrate. His film, Crash, received Best Picture and he was clearly overjoyed. “Best picture, bitch! Best picture!” he yelled to his Crash co-star Larenz Tate after hugging him in front of photographers. Young things the Olsen twins, Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton and Sienna Miller were in attendance, as well as Nicole Richie who was holding hands with ex-fiance Adam Golstein. Maybe things are on the mend. Heath and Michelle sipped champagne and chatted to Ben Stiller and rapper Eve. Last year?s Best Actress Oscar winner Hilary Swank arrived without separated husband Chad Lowe, although was reportedly flanked by dashing eligible men all night. Down the road at the Elton John party, the piano man reportedly sat down at the red baby grand to accompany soul singer John Legend in Rocket Man and the entire room joined in. Attendees at this party included Pamela Anderson, Tim Allen, Sharon Stone, Paris Hilton and the event raised nearly $3 million for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

The Razzies
Of course, with the Oscars come the other great awards show ? the Golden Raspberry Awards! They are the worst in film and television and include categories such as Worst Actress and Actor, Worst Screenplay and Worst Picture. This year, the down and out winner (or loser) was the film Dirty Love, who won Worst Picture, Worst Actress, Worst Director, Worst Screenplay. Written by and starring former Playboy Playmate Jenny McCarthy, Dirty Love took gold-spray-painted statuettes for McCarthy?s work as both Worst Actress and Worst Screenplay, as well as copping Worst Director for McCarthy?s former husband John Asher at Saturday?s mock movie awards show in Hollywood. Rob Schneider took the Worst Actor award for his role in Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo; Hayden Christensen was awarded his second Worst Supporting Actor Razzie for portraying the same character (Darth Vader as a Back Street Boy gone bad?) in Star Wars, Episode III: Who Gives A Sith; Paris Hilton was given Worst Supporting Actress for her death scene in House Of Wax; Son Of The Mask scored the Worst Remake or Sequel award; and Will Ferrell and Nicole Kidman, were given Worst Screen Couple for their roles in Bewitched. Who was the winner of the brand new Most Tiresome Tabloid Target category? As predicted by SheSaid readers ? Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes won for Oprah Winfrey’s Couch, The Eiffel Tower & “Tom’s Baby”! Congratulations you two!
