Junior Masterchef - who's watching?

I loved Masterchef while it was on but I'm just not interested in Junior Masterchef. Who's watching it and what do you think so far?

While I applaud their passion for cooking and skill level (I wish I could cook like them!) I just think kids should be kids and I don't know how they're going to cope with rejection and competition on such a disproportional scale!

I watched most of the first Masterchef series, had little interest in the 2nd series, and absolutely no interest in the Junior one. These kids really need to get out into the fresh air and play while they're still young. Wait a few years before they become so obsessed about a career.

I'm enjoying what I have seen of Junior Masterchef so far (I was glued to the first series, but the time change to 7:30 is more awkward for subsequent series). Not only am in awe of the chidren's cooking skills, more importantly my children find it inspirational. Anything that gets kids interested in real food and broadens their palate has to be a good thing imho.

Only saw bits here and the as I tend to agree with the comments from the Editor (especialyy since I work with kids and see the pressure put on them at times). But I did catch the final last night and was very impressed with the relative sportsmanship and maturity shown by both finalists as well as the encouragement received by the hosts and the parents. Good Job so far!
