Singer Pink and hubbie Carey Hart took their 5 day-old baby daughter Willow to the beach in California yesterday, wanting to spend some time close to nature after the birth. However many have said it was way too early to expose a baby to sandy wind and hot sun.

What do you think?

What is wrong with their yard? Don't they have one? The grassed park is far safer that the beach with risk of sand blowing in baby's eyes etc. I would want to be home bonding with my precious new baby, not risking the contaminated atmosphere against a newborn's immune system

Nothing wrong with that! Babies used to be born in caves! They can do what ever they like with their baby I don't think it is up to anyone to judge why they would do this, if the beach is a special place for them then so be it, and good on them

I had a caesar so I was still in hospital for the 5th day. I can't imagine taking my baby out that soon. I think my son was about 6 mths old when he first touched sand and he didn't like it LOL

If they put her in a thong with no slip, slap and slop in full glaring sunlight and total dehydration that's ABUSE.......If they took precautions...most INTELLIGENT parents do then I don't believe for one second they deliberately wanted her toasted after such a short time out of utero......Pink is sunburn......

Far too young to be taking baby to the beach or such. I really hope the bubs was protected from the sun as they have such sensitive skin!

As I was born in the middle of summer, my first day at the beach was when I was 2 days old. My mother of course protected me from the sun with sunscreen, hat, beach umbrella etc so there was really no problem.
On a 40 degree day when there was no air conditioning there was no better place to be than swimming at the beach!
