At what age is it okay for kids to "date"?

Pamela Anderson’s sons have started dating! The former ‘Baywatch’ star has discovered romantic text messages by Brandon, 13, and 11-year-old Dylan – her children with ex-husband Tommy Lee - on their mobile phones but believes they have been brought up to treat their potential girlfriends well.

She said: “Yeah they have discovered girls. There’s a lot of texting. I think they text, kiss, kiss. They’re real gentlemen. They’re real wild little boys and they’re very compassionate and sweet, so I couldn’t ask for anything more.”

I think children are growing up way to fast and their parents are helping them along, dating should be for the mid teens when they have a bit more maturity.

Kids are growing up way too fast. I started dating in year 9 in high school...even then I think that was too early. You of course, don't want them to completely shy away from dating itself, or be scared of it, but I think they are old enough when they are old enough to show they are responsible for their room, dressing themselves, money, and keeping promises to you.
