Fashion week kicks off and we’re loving all the fashion and beauty looks! Here’s how celebrity hairstylist Renya Xydis created this sleek, deconstructed look for the highly-anticipated Christopher Esber show.

The hair look mirrored Esber’s own aesthetic direction for the collection – the deconstruction of feminine shapes through unique cuts, fabrics and pops of soft colour by subtly weaving in shades of champagne pink through the hair; the outcome of which was a highly sleek and androgynous, yet feminine look.

The inspiration

“Christopher’s collection is always such an inspiration to me. The subtle pop of colour throughout the collection inspired me to reflect that in the hair while playing with texture and flow to create a real androgynous spin. The result is slick, modern and chic,” said Renya Xydis, Wella Professionals’ lead stylist.

1: Hand paint individual hair pieces in champagne pink using Wella Professionals colour.

2: Prep hair using Wella Professionals Perfect Styling and lightly mist the crown of the head with Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz.

3: Completely dry hair using netting and blow dryer on the cold setting. Then divide hair into an extreme side part to the left.

4: Create an extreme side part on the right, and pin this top section of hair out of the way. Against the right side part, pin in the cylinder-shaped sponge.

5: Release top section of hair and flip it over the right side part to cover sponge.

6: Brush over the hair and slick tightly with Wella System Professional Perfect Hold Hairspray and blow dry on cold to set.

7: Weave in the champagne pink piece of hair naturally into the left side of the head.

8: Finish with Wella System Professional Exquisite Gloss serum on the roots to add extreme shine.
