Jolie tops “women we love” poll

In the States, Esquire magazine has run it?s annual “Women We Love” poll and declared Angelina Jolie the Sexiest Woman Alive. The X-Mrs Billy Bob Thornton beat runner up Catwoman Halle Berry and pop tartlet Britney Spears who finished in the bronze medal position. In the accompanying interview, Angelina, 29, reveals some little known facts about her reputation as “kind of wild or bad or weird or crazy,” but says that just scratches the surface. “The tattoos, the blood, cutting myself — it’s all very much who I am,” she confides. “If you knew me privately, you might think I was even wilder than my reputation. But I’m also much softer. I’m a soft woman. Softer than people think.” Or not as Anglina goes on to discuss sex, love and violence ?S&M sex can be misinterpreted as violence. It’s really about trust. I like to push boundaries, both emotional and sexual, with another person. That’s when I’ve felt the sexiest.” When it comes to her current love life she told Esquire that she has “two close lovers” who are “wonderful men,” but declines to name names and goes on to emphasis that 3 year old son Maddox is the only real love of her life right at the moment. “That’s why I have lovers right now and not a boyfriend,” says Angelina. “I don’t want my son to start calling somebody ‘Daddy’ unless that person’s gonna stay.” So smart and so gorgeous ? no wonder she is the tops of women we love ? she get?s our vote too!

Jude says no engagement

Awfully English Jude Law says he cringed with embarrassment when the press claimed he had proposed to his girlfriend Sienna Miller. He said it was frightfully awkward as he had to explain to his friends and family there wasn’t an engagement. Earlier this month the UK’s Sunday Mirror newspaper reported he had asked his 21 year old lover to marry him in Venice, Italy. Law said: “There’s nothing more uncomfortable than being very happy and very much together and receiving endless phone calls from family and friends saying ‘well done’ because then you have to deny it.”

Law took it upon himself to give the tabloid journo?s and editors a good piece of his mind when he told them “I think it’s a terrible shame that the editors aren’t recognising their responsibility. It just seems so careless and nasty. People are very generous in the street, but at the same time there is the obvious tabloid attention and scrutiny which is uncomfortable. The constant attention and hounding by photographers, that’s an actual sort of physical violation.” Think it comes with being paid millions to be in films Jude ? bet he would have whinged more if no one wrote about him!

Gimme a break says married Britney

Britney Spears has used the internet to let her legion of fans know what is going on with her life since she married dancer Kevin Ferderline. In a long-awaited “letter of truth” posted on her official Website, the honeymoon-bound Spears says she has finally learned how to say “no” to business and “yes” to holidays! Britney says “Going & going & going is all I’ve ever know[n] since I was 15 years old,” “Right now, I have to go–I really want to watch Saved! with Mandy Moore and reruns of Sex and the City.” She goes on to apologise to fans saying if it “seemed like [my life] was all over the place the past two years, it’s probably because IT WAS!” A typical bit of Spears prose reads “Being married is GREAT and I can’t wait to start my family!” For what it?s worth maybe that?s exactly what Brits should do!
