Jude’s Ex Spills All In The Tell-All Book He Tried To Ban
Jude Law’s ex-wife Sadie Frost says their marriage was doomed in her revealing autobiography that he tried to ban.
She was 27 and a married mother while he was 21 and an aspiring actor when they met in 1992. While they fell in love she also felt a tremendous guilt for breaking up her marriage to Spandau Ballet’s Gary Kemp.
“I knew that by even entertaining thoughts of Jude, I was jeopardising an idyllic home life, the most secure relationship I’d ever had,” she says in the book Crazy Days.
“The force of the love I felt for Jude and his intense ambition made me feel out of control.”

Jude hired a top law firm to try and suppress all references to their marriage in the book, but was unsuccessful.
After having their first child in 1996, Sadie suffered from severe post-natal depression and went into self-destructive mode. Fortunately she seeked treatment but the post-natal depression returned after the birth of their second child in 2000.
As his career took off, her medication caused her self-esteem to drop off and the two became alienated, despite glamming it up with their famous friends including Kate Moss and Ewan McGregor. She was soon treated for manic depression, coinciding with her and Jude’s seperation.
These days Sadie says she is much happier, doesn’t drink and is surrounded by her children, while accepting that therapy will always be part of her life. She is friends with Jude – although she’s no fan of his on-again girlfriend Sienna Miller.
“I don’t regret the past, nor do I dwell on it,” says Sadie. “I’ve probably recovered from manic depression, or severe PND, which has weaved such a dance of destruction through my adult life…to have come through and out the other end, into the light.”
