Kate Hudson In No Rush To Get Married
She’s got a huge engagement ring – and a newborn to boot – but Kate Hudson says she’s in no rush to get married to fiance, English rocker Matt Bellamy.
Four weeks after giving birth to her second child, Bingham – her first child with the Muse frontman – the 32-year-old actress has told US Elle magazine that she’s happy as is.
“One thing at a time. We’ll say hello to our new one and enjoy that for a while.”
Despite Bellamy presenting her with a sparkling engagement ring, Hudson recently admitted the pair had no intentions to get married, saying: “I wouldn’t count it out, but Matthew and I kind of skipped that part and went right to the good stuff!”
The actress, who appears in a sexy photoshoot in the magazine, says she is looking forward to slowing down with her career and focusing on her children (she also has son Ryder, seven, with ex-husband Chris Robinson).
Being a working mum is “definitely getting harder,” she confirmed. “You have to think about things like, “Where is it? How long is it going to keep me away from my family?”
“But, you know, life moves on. I would never want to be someone who complains and goes, “Oh my God, my life is so crazy,”‘ she says. “If you make the best of it, it can be amazing.”
She also revealed how her mum, Goldie Hawn, helps with parenting advice.
“We’ve definitely had lots of talks about parenting and being a working mom,’ says the Something Borrowed actress. “She never hands out unsolicited preachy words of wisdom, though. My parents allowed my brother and I to have our freedom and be ourselves and feel confident in our choices and to make mistakes without too much judgment.
“I hope that I can do as good a job.”
What do you think? Is marriage becoming less important these days?
