Lauryn Eagle is one of the most determined athletes in our country. She has been crowned a WBF World Champion in Boxing and is a former World Champion water skier. She lives by a strict health and fitness regime, and shares her tips of how to prepare for this year’s Maximum Adventure Mud Run that is being held on 1 December at the Equestrian Centre, Western Sydney. This year Lauryn will be undergoing the 7km challenge on behalf of the Cancer Council NSW.

Warm-up run and light stretch

Do the following three times:

· 1/2 km run

2 circuits x 10 reps:

· Push-ups

· Mountain Climbers

· Plank with Rotation

· Steps

· 1/2 km run

2 circuits x 10 reps:

· Squats

· Lunges

· Bridge

· Steps

· 1/2 km run

2 circuits x 10 reps:

· Cross Body Crunch

· V-Ups

· Push-up Plank with Rotation

· Steps



The nation’s most unique race, the Mud Run, is expecting a huge turnout of thrill-seekers and supporters for a sludgy run on 1 of December at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre.

Thousands of participants are expected to run, crawl, leap and belly flop their way through the 7km mud-engulfed course of mud-pits, bog-holes and slides. For the kids under 12, a shorter 1km ‘Mud Dash’ race has been designed so no one misses out on the fun and action.
