Life’s a dog for Charlize Theron

Oscar-winner Charlize Theron is fronting a new advertising campaign for PETA or ?People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals?. The glamorous actress is appearing on billboards with one of her own dogs in an effort to stop people wearing fur. “If you wouldn’t wear your dog, please don’t wear any fur,” reads the new ad. “The only difference between your ‘best friend’ and the animals killed for their pelts is the way we treat them.” Charlize, who regularly tops showbiz best-dressed lists, says there’s no need for the clothing industry to use real pelts. “Fur isn’t necessary,” she argues. “It doesn’t make sense to me to let animals suffer for fashion.” The 29-year-old is well-known for her support for animal rights and has appeared at several PETA events in the past. She also presented a documentary about “puppy mills”, the breeding facilities which supply pet shops, in order to push for more humane conditions. Go for it Charlize!
