Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston

February 16, 2004
Hollywood’s favourite couple, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have won yet another award. This time the couple have kissed and cuddled their way to victory in a Valentine’s Day Most Romantic Couple poll conducted by Britain’s leading glossy magazine Hello. The pair easily won the polls snaring over 20 per cent of the overall poll to win first place. But following not too far behind with 17% of the votes was the famous Beckham couple with soccer-ace David Beckham and his spicey wife Victoria polling highly to take second place. The ‘Becks’ duo were just in front of Las Vegas star, Canadian Celine Dion and her manager and hubby Rene Angelil. The renowned singer and her husband/manager have been working together for 25 years and been married for the last ten with a little boy born almost two years ago thru IVF. Other celeb couples deemed romantically noteworthy included our very own Mary Donaldson and her spunky prince of Denmark, who came home in fourth place, and yet more Aussie?s invaded the poll with Russell Crowe and his wife Danielle Spencer coming in fifth. Coming in surprisingly low in the sizzling partnership stakes appeal were Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz, who came ninth. Meanwhile, Spanish heart-throb Antonio Banderas and his wife Melanie Griffith had to settle for tenth place.

Bye Bye Meatball
Comedian Adam Sandler, 37 took a serious moment recently to remember his beloved dog who died suddenly. Meatball, who was four years old when he died of a heart attack, appeared in the short film A Day with the Meatball that followed Sandler’s animated feature Eight Crazy Nights in theatres. Meatball, who sported a yarmulke and tuxedo, served as the ring bearer at Sandler’s wedding to Jackie Titone in 2003. Oh too sad!
