Rather than waiting months or even years for another inch on your hair, did you know that there are a few natural ways to speed up the process?
Some of these items are probably already in your pantry, and require minimum effort to achieve long, healthy hair.
Apple cider vinegar
Regularly cleanse your hair with equal parts of cold water and apple cider vinegar after coming out of the shower. Apple cider vinegar acts as a natural cleanser, and will help those suffering from dandruff, or simply just an irritable scalp.
The smell is also really pleasant, and won’t leave your hair looking sticky or stiff.
Cut down on heat
This one might seem a little obvious, but cut down on the amount of heat and styling products you apply on your hair. Not only do they cause large amounts of irreversible damage, but they also damage your hair follicle.
If your hair is quite thick and takes a few hours to dry naturally, wrap it in a towel and go to sleep. It should be dry by the next morning, and won’t soak your sheets overnight.
‘No poo’ method
Don’t worry, this is not as bad as it sounds! The ‘no poo’ method is just another name for a natural cleanse which minimises the amount of shampoo you apply to your hair. Rather than using all these chemicals such as sulphate which break down the hair follicle, rinse your scalp with baking soda, and condition it with apple cider vinegar.
To receive the complete benefits of rosemary on your hair, it is important to rinse at least once a week. Use one cup of rosemary and bring it to a simmer, this could take anywhere between 15-30 minutes depending on the temperature.Once the rosemary has liquified, strain it, and allow it to cool down to room temperature.
Apply onto damp hair, and focus on any problem areas applying from root to tip. Don’t rinse it out.
There is no denying that scalp massages are relaxing, but did you know they actually make your hair grow faster? Regular massages help to stimulate hair growth and blood circulation to the scalp.
Use a light coconut oil on your fingers, then start the top of your head with a zig-zag motion to awaken the hair follicles.
