On set film gossip
Audrey TautouIt has already been a best seller for months, but now it looks like the screen version of Dan Brown?s The Da Vinci Code will be a box office smash as well. It?s just been revealed that the gorgeous French actor Audrey Tautou has won the lead role of Sophie Neveu. The Amelie star is reportedly thrilled to be playing the young French cryptologist. She will star with Tom Hanks, who plays Professor Robert Langdon and The Professional actor Jean Reno will play detective Bezu Fache. Filming begins later in the year.
Charlotte the spiderIn gossip that will certainly thrill the young (and young at heart!), it has been confirmed that Julia Roberts will be voicing the lead role in the film version of Charlotte?s Web. She will play Charlotte, the spider who helps save her friend Wilbur the pig from being turned into bacon. The film is based on the book by EB White and is a favourite among young children. Also working on the project will be Oprah Winfrey, who will voice the goose, John Cleese will voice the sheep and Steve Buscemi will play the sleazy rat. This is Julia?s first film project since the birth of her twins Hazel and Phinnaeus two months ago. Filming starts in Melbourne later this month.
Boo AshleeStop Ashlee
You almost have to feel sorry for Ashlee Simpson after hearing about this. An online petition has been set up persuading her record company to stop her singing live ever again. The site, www.stopashlee.com was set up after the 20-year-old singer was booed after performing as half time entertainment in a Miami football match. The petition is addressed to her label, Geffen Records and her father?s management company, JT Entertainment. The letter states, ?We, the undersigned, are disgusted with Ashlee Simpson’s horrible singing and hereby ask her to stop. Stop recording, touring, modeling and performing. We do not wish to see her again.? The site was set up by New Yorker Bethany Decker and has accrued over 160,000 signatures. Ouch!
