Margarita Cocktail Recipes

Carolyn Brown, Amigos Group Bar Manager shares three of her favourite margarita cocktail recipes perfect for summer parties.


MIXED BERRY FROZEN MARGARITA

An Amigos signature frozen margarita with El Jimador Reposado Tequila and Chambord Liqueur, blended with mixed berries and a little lemon.

What’s in it?

1 scoop of ice
30ml El Jimador Reposado Tequila
30ml Chambord Liqueur
30ml Light Gomme Syrup (Sugar Syrup)
15ml strawberry topping
60ml fresh mixed berries
Sugar (for glass rim) Icing sugar (dusting)


How do you make it?

1. Rim Martini glass with sugar.
2. Fill blender with one scoop ice.
3. Add remaining ingredients and blend until
smooth.
4. Pour into glass and garnish with one small
spoonful of mixed berried and icing sugar.


PASSION SIGNATURE MARGARITA

An Amigos signature margarita with El Jimador Reposado Tequila, Triple Sec and passionfruit, shaken and served over ice.


What’s in it?

1 scoop of ice
30ml El Jimador Reposado Tequila
15ml Triple Sec
15ml Monin Passionfruit Syrup
20ml fresh lemon juice
20ml fresh passionfruit pulp
1 Brandied Cherry Sugar (for glass rim)


How do you make it?

1. Sugar rim chilled glass, add 1 Brandied Cherry and return to fridge.

2. Measure ingredients into Boston glass.
3. Fill with ice and shake.
4. Strain into glass, gently add a little of the
remaining ice to fill just below sugar rim and serve.


GRAND GOLD MARGARITA

A big, bold margarita with 1800 Añejo Tequila, Grand Marnier and plenty of fresh lime and lemon over ice, served with a classic salt rim.


What’s in it?

1 scoop of ice
30ml 1800 Añejo Tequila
15ml Grand Marnier
30ml Lime Cordial
30ml fresh lemon juice
Fresh lime wedges
Murray River Salt (for glass rim)


How do you make it?

1. Rim large Rocks glass with salt and set aside.
2. Pour all ingredients into Boston glass.
3. Squeeze lime wedges in when adding.
4. Fill the Boston with ice and shake.

5. Pour into prepared glass and serve.
