Sneak Peak: Royal Wedding Invitations – Plus Who’s Been Invited?
Can’t wait for your invitation to the Royal Wedding? They were sent out on Friday to close to 1900 people, but in case yours gets, er, lost in the mail, here they are, as posh and elegant as to be expected.
It’s an early start on Friday 29 April for Prince William and Kate Middleton, with the ceremony kicking off at 11am at Westminster Abbey, followed by a lunchtime buffet for 600 people hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace. The day will end with a dinner dance for just 300 exclusive guests, hosted by Prince Charles.
The day has been declared a public holiday with hundreds of thousands expected to line the streets of central London to catch a glimpse of the procession.
Love the formal dress code: official military uniform, morning coat or lounge suit! Definitely no ordinary wedding!
And if you have been invited, you’ll be joining various heads of state – yes, Julia Gillard and Tim Mathieson are on the list – as well as a select group of celebs including David and Victoria Beckham (she’s still hotly rumoured to be designing Kate’s dress).
