3 Of Our Favourite Spring Fashion Trends

September 22, 2012

We couldn’t be happier to shrug off those winter woollies, but now back to the eternal question: what to wear? Fashion stylists from the Gold Coast’s largest fashion hub, Robina Town Centre, share their favourite spring trends from bold florals to romantic lace.

Bold Florals

This trend is a Spring/Summer staple; bold, botanical and vibrant in colour, it’s time to surrender yourself to flower

Matching floral tops, pants and chic monochrome jumpsuits will have you looking fabulously on-trend, but for the
ultimate style statement, throw out the rulebook and clash your punchy prints from head to toe. Team your blooms with stripes, vivid geometric patterns or this season’s take on animal prints. Think whimsical;
from bird prints to fruit and feathers, mix it up and rock this previously forbidden fashion trend.

Stay Cool With Aquatics

Inspired by the depths of the deep blue sea, make waves in fashion this season and sail smoothly through an
effortless summer.

Designers have dived into myth and legend to create stunning sea goddess dresses and flouncing skirts trimmed
with wave like ruffles.
Seek out separates featuring starfish shapes and scalloped shells and embrace your modern mermaid with
iridescent fabrics packed with shimmer and shine.
Accessorise the look with sea inspired treasures including conch-shell clutches, signature pearls, gilded shark
teeth medallions and psychedelic sea beads.

Lace and Pastels

Spring/Summer 2013 is head over heels for lace in delicious sorbet hues in every shade of the rainbow.
This versatile fabric takes on a sultry vibe in black, a boho disposition in muted tones and an unabashedly
feminine feel in candy colours and soft and chalky pastel shades.
For evening, try a long, transparent gown dressed up with embroidery and dainty textiles or layer lace together for
maximum impact wherever you go.
The big colour trend for Spring/Summer is mint green, but chose any shade of pastel and you’re right on
track to rock that sweet but chic 50’s era polish.

Neon brights are also back in a big way; for show-stopping shoes and handbags that will turn heads, choose bright
blues, yellows, greens, oranges and high-octane pinks.

Try on the trends at Robina Town Centre’s new Virtual Change Room, which features two full-length virtual screens to size up and superimpose virtual garments to fit every
shape and size. You don’t even need ro remove your clothes! You can ‘try on’ over 200 Spring/Summer pieces with the wave of a hand, then find out prices and stockists. The Virtual Change Room runs until October 11th.
