Here are 5 tempting snacks you can feel good about eating that taste great and will help you get that little bit more dairy into your day – it’s not as hard as you think!
Cheese, grapes and pecans
Cheddar cheese packs a punch when it comes to calcium and happens to go deliciously well with grapes. Pack a little tub of cheddar cubes (about 40g), grapes and pecan nuts to snack on when you get peckish during the day.
Apricot, cream cheese and almond bites
Pry open dried apricots and stuff with cream cheese and a natural almond. Make a whole bunch of these and have on hand for a guilt-free afternoon snack!
Apple and Cheddar “Cheese and Biccies”
Apple and cheddar work amazingly well together. Try using slices of apple in place of biscuits for your next “cheese and bickie” snack.
Spread a slice of thick sourdough toast with fresh ricotta, top with sliced strawberries and dollop with warm strawberry jam or a drizzle of passionfruit pulp.
Beetroot Dip and Cucumber
For the easiest beetroot dip ever, try blending a 425g can drained baby beetroot and 1 cup of natural yogurt with 1 teaspoon of Moroccan seasoning until smooth. It’s a great healthy dip to have on hand for a snack with cucumber sticks, or use it as a spread on wraps and sandwiches.
