5 Healthy, Filling Breakfast Ideas In Under 5 Minutes

We’re always told breakfast is the most important meal of the day but who has the time to make something tasty that’s also healthy? Here’s 5 breakfast ideas that take less than 5 minutes to make!

1. Quickest cafe-inspired breakfast

Toast a slice of wholegrain bread, spread with 1/2 an avocado and season with salt and pepper. Pour a drop of olive oil into a microwave-proof cup and crack an egg into it. Pop a sheet of kitchen paper over the top and microwave for 1 minute. Place cooked egg on toast, enjoy!

2. Your new favourite cereal

Trust me, I’m a cereal fiend and always looking for one low in sugar and high in fibre. Most cereals have 2 tablespoons of sugar per serve! Be Natural 5 Whole Grain Flakes Cereal is low in sugar, packed with fibre for good gut health and contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Top with sliced banana.

3. Health spa breakfast

Start with 4 tablespoons of Greek or natural yoghurt (look for gelatine-free yoghurts like luscious Tamar Valley yoghurt). Mix through a handful of blueberries (or your favourite in-season fruit) and sprinkle over 1 tablespoon of LSA (Linseed-Sunflower-Almond). It has a delicious nutty taste and gives you a super kick of Omega oils, while the berries are great for antioxidants.

4. Porridge made yummy

Now that summer is behind us I love starting my day with a bowl of porridge. Another great new product from Be Natural is their 90-second microwavable Porridge sachets in Multi Grain (which I love with a little maple syrup) or Vanilla Almond, which is not too sweet but has lovely crunch from sliced almonds.

5. No time to cook!

Grab a Go Beet juice and tub of low-fat yoghurt. Go Beet juices are made with Aussie beetroots but are sweetened with apple juice so it tastes yummy (and is much cheaper than stopping at the juice bar!). Very healthy! A tub of yoghurt is a great way to start the day, with a boost of calcium and low GI keeps you full longer.

Do you eat breakfast everyday? What’s your favourite breakfast?
