When is the right time for a new hair-do? Sometimes having the same hairstyle or colour for years upon years is often the first telltale sign that you should make a drastic change. Also pay close attention to split-ends and broken strands due to overexposure to peroxide – which will leave you with no choice but the chop.
This may seem a little over the top, but even some flattery is good, right? Keep your hair looking fresh by switching up the colour and style every so often. Don’t go for a dramatic change if you aren’t 100% sure about it. Try balayage if you want to spice up your look, without taking a giant plunge.
A new job, break-up or even moving house could warrant a fresh haircut and colour. Why not take charge of the opportunity and be a little adventurous with your next hairstyle? Create an inspiration board and cover it with pictures of your desired hair colour and style to built-up the momentum.
You don’t enjoy it
Ever find it difficult to style your hair for a special event, or even day-to-day? This could be a big sign that you’re in desperate new for some new locks. Try using extensions to switch up your look, since they can give volume and length to sad hair.
If you have blonde hair, hearing that your hair looks brassy or mousy can often mean it’s time for a new style. Use a purple shampoo regularly to remove the yellow tones from your hair, or simply take the plunge and have your hair coloured something vibrant and fun.
