Australian Beauty Awards Winners
The Australian Beauty Awards were held at Guillaume at the Sydney Opera House last week, with magazine editors and the public voting on their favourite beauty and fragrance products.
Some of the winners…
Best Budget Foundation (Light): Maybelline New York SuperStay 24HR Makeup
Notes: Perfect if you’re after a fresh, natural finish. Blended easily, with just the right amount of coverage.
Best Nail Polish: O.P.I Matte Collection Nail Lacquer
Notes: Immensely long-lasting, their brights are sophisticated without being garish, while their darker tones flatter better than any other brands we’ve trialled.
Best Dry Shampoo: Batiste Dry Shampoo
Notes: Loved the small convenient size and the formula did not turn my roots grey – which can happen with other dry shampoo. It reinvigorated my hair and helped me get an extra day between washes easily.
Best Shampoo & Conditioner (Normal Hair): John Frieda Root Awakening Health Infusing Shampoo
Notes: A great price, a fresh, very clean formula and fragrance – this stuff silkifies hair without feeling heavy.
Best Razor: Gillette Venus Spa Breeze Disposables
Notes: Every time I see a new version of this razor, I think it can’t be improved upon. The shave is smooth, it’s virtually impossible to go wrong and this one smells pretty too.
Best Luxury Body Moisturiser: Jo Malone Vitamin E Body Balm
Notes: A little goes a long way with this amazing cream. Joy in a jar. I could eat it and it transformed dry skin into fabulous skin almost immediately.
Best Anti-Aging Facial Cream: L’Oréal Paris Youth Code Rejuvenating Anti-Wrinkle
Notes: Smoothes over skin and instantly absorbed. I love that it embraces the latest gene technology at such a budget price.
Best Facial Day Cream: Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF15
Notes: The name says it all really. It’s thick and hydrating, quickly absorbed and super protective. My skin was left radiant and protected from environmental aggressors.
