“They’re acting so nice, like they’re such good guys.”
After everyone’s favorite villain, Chad Johnson, was booted off this season of The Bachelorette, you might have thought the rest of the guys JoJo Fletcher had to choose from weren’t that bad.
Not so, says Chad.
On Monday, Chad told Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen that half the contestants broke up with their girlfriends in order to go on the show, and the other half are cheating on them. “Now how can they be such good guys?” he asked Cohen.
Chad gained notoriety for a number of shenanigans, including refusing to participate in group games and sing-alongs, threatening to knock someone’s teeth out, and most alarmingly, saying he was going to cut off the arms and legs of all the other contestants and throw their torsos in the pool. He also called JoJo “naggy” and said he never expected to have “actually really have feelings” for her.
After he was sent packing, Chad crossed paths with Hope Higginbotham, former longtime girlfriend of rival contestant Robby Hayes. He posted pictures of them kissing on his Instagram feed with the caption, “A great girl like her deserves so much better than someone who lies, cheats, and ends a four year long relationship in order to pursue fame on a tv show.”
According to Chad, he was the only contestant who had a pure motive for competing on The Bachelorette. “I’m the only one with an actual real reason for coming on the show–to meet somebody.”
If Chad is really looking for the woman of his dreams, he’s getting another chance to find her. He’s recently been announced as a contestant on an upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, the third season of which is set to debut on ABC August 2.
