Did you know you can do more with Nutella than just eating it out of the jar with a spoon? Wake up to warm Nutella swirl bread this weekend – spread with cinnamon butter for a decadent treat.
Makes: 2 loaves
3 cups plain flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup caster sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup Nutella
1. Preheat oven to 175C. Butter two medium loaf pans.
2. In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
3. In the bowl of a stand mixer beat the butter and sugars until light and fluffy, about two minutes. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add cinnamon, vanilla and sour cream and mix to combined. Add flour mixture mixing on low just until combined.
4. Spoon batter into prepared pans. Drop dollops of 1/2 cup of Nutella into each pan. Then using a knife, swirl the Nutella around in the batter, making circle eights. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
