Baked French Toast
Who doesn’t love French toast? Here’s one of our favourite breakfast recipes that’s quick and easy to prepare, but also light on calories for such an indulgent start to the day!
vegetable oil cooking spray
10 slices challah or brioche bread
1 cup Vanilla 0% Chobani Greek Yoghurt
1/2 cup low-fat milk
3 large eggs
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1. Spray 9 x 13 inch ovenproof baking dish with oil. Arrange bread in dish in two layers, if necessary. Set aside.
2. Whisk Chobani, milk, eggs, cinnamon and vanilla together in bowl. Pour yoghurt mixture over bread, covering completely. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
3. Preheat oven to 215°C. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, until light brown on top and should be custard-like consistency. Serve with yoghurt and fruit.
