Nutritionists today have replaced the old saying “beauty is only skin deep” with the more scientific “you are what you eat”. Leading nutritionist, Karen Inge, explains, “It is vitally important to choose the right foods to radiate well being and beauty from within. A combination of the right nutrients, vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals, together with an active lifestyle, should create optimal health and help achieve those beauty goals.” Karen’s motto is “Eat delicious food that makes you feel great!”. Karen has created some fabulous healthy treats that you can whip up in a flash using the Braun Multiquick Professional handblender. Beauty Smoothie This smoothie is like an A-Z of good things! Anti-ageing Fruit Ice 90% of adult illness is due to the degenerative processes of ageing which include diseases such as heart disease, many cancers, diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure, osteoporosis and more. Whilst ageing is a natural process, it appears there are some foods we can choose which may help to slow the process down. This recipe contains an array of beneficial vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals with names such as Anthocyanins, Lycopene, Limonene, Lutein – all of which are believed to play a role in the anti-ageing process whether it be by protecting against chemical carcinogens and UV light, reducing collagen damage deep in skin tissue or reducing cell damage.
