Where To Best Apply Concealer
Concealer is just one product you should always have handy in your makeup bag. The product is often small and compact, requires little or no extra tools, and is perfect for touching-up if you’re constantly on-the-go. But did you know that concealer can be applied in a variety of ways to correct and conceal imperfections or dark circles?
Here are just some of the ways to get a flawless finish using any kind of concealer.
Under the eye
If you want to conceal any under-eye circles, dark patches or lines around the outside of the eyes, then it’s best to use a salmon coloured shade. This generally works to cancel out any dark circles with ease – especially if you’re just starting out with makeup!
Use your finger and fan out the product under your eyes, then buff in with a damp cosmetic sponge for a flawless finish (and no creasing).

Discolouration or un-even skin tone
If you suffer from dark patches or un-even skin tone, then concealer may also work as a magic perfecter of your skin. Invest in a heavy-duty formula that will cover up any imperfections without weighing down on the skin. It’s best to stay away from stippling brushes since this could actually create dry patches on the skin.
Blend well with a damp cosmetic sponge, since this will leave you with a flawless finish and take a little edge off of the thick formula.

Both men and women suffer from redness around the nose – especially in the early morning! Don’t suffer with this condition, instead cover it up if you want a flawless base for a special event. Use an oil-free formula that won’t interact with the natural oils on your face – and stay-on all day long! Apply the product with a flat concealer brush, and sparsely set with powder.

If you suffer from the occasional break-out, then you will understand the constant battle which comes with covering it up. A green concealer is best if you want to neutralise the red tones in the skin, and it will cancel it out perfectly.
Apply just a bit of product onto the skin, and dab with your fingers from a flawless finish. Pat down with a concealer brush if you want the concealer to stay on your skin all day.

Expert tip: Pick your shade
Choose a concealer which is the same colour as your skin when covering any bumps, pimples, or acne scarring. If not, then the concealer will actually just draw attention to the problem area instead of camouflaging it.
