Brosnan says forget Farrell

Colin has the thumbs down from Bond
Pierce Brosnan has told fellow Irishman Colin Farrell to Try Another Day if he wants to be the next James Bond. Bond producers are said to be looking for a new leading man and Farrell, X-Men superhero Hugh Jackman, Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom and Ewan McGregor have all been tipped for the part. But Brosnan, 50, who played Bond in the last four films, told England?s ITV1‘s morning show that Farrell was not right for the part of 007. The show’s LA correspondent, Vickie Stokes, asked him: “What about Colin Farrell for 007?” Brosnan replied: “Colin. No! I think he’s a great actor but I don’t think he’s right for Bond. “Some of the names that will be top of my list are Clive Owen, who’s a fine actor, and Hugh Jackman, who is also a very fine actor,” he said. Hugh Jackman in a dinner suit drinking martini?s shaken not stirred ? that?s enough to get most of us girls flocking to the new James Bond movie!

Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera cancels tour
Singer Christina Aguilera has canceled her 3 month tour of North American due to strained vocal chords according to reports out of the US. “I am extremely disappointed to have to cancel this tour,” the singer said in a statement. “I was looking forward to being on the road again and spending time with my fans.” According to a statement, doctors advised Aguilera to rest immediately and allow her voice time to recover but the word from inside the music industry is “slow ticket sales. Her shows were only selling at 40 to 60 percent capacity. She needs a hit album to reboost her fan base.” But music industry insiders aren’t buying it. “People strain their vocal chords all the time,” one insider said. “There are treatments they give, and people usually take a week or two off, but never have they cancelled a three-month tour.” Meooow sounds like the knives are out for Christina!
