Burberry Launches Beauty Line

Fashion house Burberry have launched their first beauty line, with the packaging and colours inspired by their iconic trenchcoat and classic British style.

The elegant silver packaging is embossed with a subtle Burberry check print, while the colours focus on natural, glowing hues, striking dark eyes and soft lips.

Founded in 1856, Burberry was one of Britain’s leading labels, best known for its beige and black check print, classic trenchcoat and preppy chic. Burberry was one of the designers worst hit by the popularisation of counterfeit clothing in the early-2000s with fake bags, polo shirts and even trenchcoats easily available to buy for drastically-reduced prices, especially on eBay. The label suffered, going out of fashion and coming close to going under. So hopefully this new beauty line will pull the brand out of the doldrums.

There are no plans to sell the line in Australia for the moment, although its exclusive retail partner, US department store Nordstrom ships internationally.
