Camilla Franks has announced that she will show her latest collection at the 2014 Telstra Perth Fashion Festival in September. Following her stand out show at this year’s Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival, the Sydney-based designer will showcase her SS14 collection ‘In the Name of the Tribe’ for the first time in Perth on Saturday, September 20.
Renowned for her signature use of vibrant colours, beautiful prints, placement detail and quality craftmanship, Franks said she was delighted to be showcasing the CAMILLA Spring/Summer collection in Perth. “ Since opening our gorgeous boutique in Cottesloe last year, our Perth customers and fan base have embraced the CAMILLA spirit wholeheartedly and it is of great pleasure to give back with a CAMILLA show,” she said.
The most recent collection titled ‘In The Name Of The Tribe’ began in t he Vietnamese Hills and is born from the vibrant culture, natives and wildlife discovered on Camilla’s travels. “The print designs are inspired by the Hill Tribes of Vietnam, the wild kingdom and all the beauty and abundance of nature. Wearing a piece from this collection makes you a part of my tribe – the CAMILLA Tribe,” Franks said.
PFF director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan said she was delighted to have the internationally recognised designer showcased at this year’s festival. “Camilla’s unmistakable style will be an absolute highlight on the festival calendar and we are thrilled Perth audiences will get a first look at this spectacular show and incredible collection,” she said.
