This twist on traditional cider is luscious yet light, with a combination of refreshing fruit flavours and warming spices. Garnish with a floating star anise.
Serves 3
Ingredients:
200ml cloudy apple juice
90ml cranberry juice
30ml Chambord®
30ml Appleton VX rum
1 cinnamon quill
3 cloves
1 star anise
1 teaspoon of orange zest
Method:
1. Simmer the cloudy apple juice, cranberry juice, cinnamon quill, star anise and cloves for 15 minutes.
2. Add alcohol and simmer for another 5 minutes. Reduce by 1/3, strain and serve.
3. Serve in a 60ml Bodum double-walled vessel. Garnish with a floating whole star anise.
