Cynthia Nixon’s Partner Secretly Gives Birth To Son

Sex and the City’s Cynthia Nixon and her partner Christine Marinoni have welcomed their first baby together yesterday, a baby boy named Max Ellington Nixon.

“Christine and baby are doing great,” a spokesperson told People magazine.

The news was a complete surprise to everyone except close friends and family. The couple have not revealed who the biological father is.

The 44 year-old actress, who played lawyer Miranda Hobbs in the Sex and the City franchise, met education activist Marinoni, 43, at an education rally in 2002. She left her long-term boyfriend Danny Moses the following year and went public with Marinoni in 2004. In 2009 the pair became engaged and hope to marry when NY legalises gay marriage.

Nixon has two children with her ex-boyfriend – Samantha, 14 and son Charles Ezekiel, eight.

Nixon also recently revealed she had battled breast cancer after being diagnosed during a routine mammogram in 2006.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
