Here’s How To Delete Your Facebook Friends Who ‘Like’ Donald Trump

Friends who Like Trump

Make your feed hate-free.

It’s been a tough week. As Americans try to come to grips with the fact that it seems more than likely Donald Trump will actually be our 45th President, one of the more annoying post-election side-effects is logging into Facebook and seeing Trump supporters gloating about their victory.

Luckily, there’s an easy fix.

Here’s how to make your Facebook-feed a hate-free space – at least when it comes to Trump. (Your sister and her boyfriend might still engage in awkward social media spats – just one of the things people hate about Facebook).

The easiest way to do it is to go to his official page (I know, I know), which is under ‘Donald J. Trump.’ Look at the top right corner, underneath the box that says, ‘search for posts on this page.’ There will be a field that shows which of your friends have liked or followed the page. Click to expand it and see them all.

Then, simply unfriend or block as you see fit.

A word of warning, though. Some people will like or follow a page just to keep tabs on it. I have a few staunchly liberal friends who’ve liked Trump’s page, and I know they don’t actually support him. They’re just keeping up with his latest shenanigans: the terrible things he says about women, the endless facepalm moments. So before you go on an unfriending spree, take a look at who liked him and ask yourself if they really support him.

Donald Trump becoming President of the United States isn’t just bad news for women, or for Americans – it’s terrible news for the world at large. Unfriending people who support him – on social media, at least – is one small thing you can do to keep yourself sane in the days to come.

After all, we’ll all need to be clear-headed if we’re going to mount a revolution.
