Are you ready? This diet for 3 days is not easy. You won’t be able to drink coffee, tea or alcohol. ARGHHHHH? no morning coffee or afternoon vodka. I can assure you it is worth the 72 hours of pain. You will look positively radiant by the end of it. Plan the first two days of the diet when you are not particularly busy, don’t try to do this when you have parties or stressful deadlines. A long weekend is the perfect answer. If you do suffer from hunger pangs during the three days cling to your juice maker or packets of herbal teas. Twinings have some incredible flavours? such as peppermint and chamomile, ginger or green tea. Increase your water intake to at least 2.5 litres a day? you skin and body will be thanking you.

Do not do this diet if you are pregnant or unwell? always consult your GP before you commence any diet. This diet, as long as it is supervised by a medical professional can in fact help decrease symptoms of some chronic illness. But you have to remember to continue to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle after the three-day detox.

Breakfast: Half a grapefruit, one orange and a large slice of watermelon. A cup of peppermint tea and beetroot and ginger juice.

Lunch: A salad with English spinach leaves, tomato, cucumber, broccoli and snake beans with fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil. A glass of tomato juice

Grazing: Dried fruit and as much fresh fruit as you like
