Die Hard A Good Day To Die Review

March 22, 2013

Stuck for a movie on date night that you and your man will both enjoy? Try taking him to the latsest Die Hard movie A Good Day to Die where John McClane travels to Russia to help out his seemingly wayward son, Jack, only to discover that Jack is a CIA operative working to prevent a nuclear-weapons heist, causing the father and son to team up against underworld forces.

This is an old school Bruce Willis thriller with lots of car chases, explosions but no really nasty violent scenes. Perfect date movie! This is classic Willis with funny lines and a great chemistry between Willis and his son actor Jai Courtney who starred in Spartacus a few year ago. Feels almost like a James Bond movie with lots of roof top chases across Russia and helicopter action!

Critics have slammed the movie as unimaginative and boring but if you are a fan of the Die Hard movies then this is exactly what you have come to expect from John McClane and these types of movies. As one reviewer commented Die Hard movies know what they are and don’t try to move too much with the times, and has fun with it.

Loved it! Better than taking your man to a Notebook type movie and have him wanting to leave halfway through the movie or worse still ruining it for you as he makes vomiting noises at all the romance scenes!

What’s the last movie you saw and loved?
