Do Women Enjoy Sex As Much As Men?

Apparently women do not enjoy sex as much as fun. Stephen Fry has come out and said it – but do we agree with him?

The British writer and TV host has shocked women around the world by claiming that women only have sex to please their men, and that the only women who admit to liking sex are those that get paid for sex.

“Sex is the price they are willing to pay for a relationship,” he told gay magazine Attitude.

His reasoning is that if women were as sexual as men they would be picking up men and cruising for men in parks, just as gay men do.

“If women liked sex as much as men, there would be straight cruising areas in the way there are gay cruising areas. Women would go and hang around in churchyards thinking: ‘God, I’ve got to get my f*cking rocks off’, or they’d go to Hampstead Heath and meet strangers to shag behind a bush. It doesn’t happen. Why? Because the only women you can have sex with like that wish to be paid for it.”

Feminist Rosie Boycott has shot back at the usually inoffensive and witty Fry, who while being openly gay has rarely commented on hetrosexuality. “We don’t go cruising or cottaging on Hampstead Heath because we don’t need to. Cottaging on Hampstead Heath is presumably a hangover from the days when, sadly, [homosexuality] was illegal.”
