Oscars After-Party: Is ‘Who Wore It Less’ Getting Old?

Just when we thought Hollywood’s obsession with ‘who wore it less’ was coming to an end (finally), the Oscars after-party happened.

RELATED: Selfie Game Strong: Body Image The Biggest Loser

Rita Ora, Gigi Hadid and Heidi Klum set tongues wagging, or rather dropping, when they all opted to go panty-less to the star-studded events, sporting daring cut away dresses that exposed various parts of their bodies including ribs, side boobs, hips, legs and in Ora’s case, half her butt.

Oscars After-Party: Is 'Who Wore It Less' Getting Old?

The award for most revealing frock well and truly went to model, Irina Shayk however, who wore an Atelier Versace gown, which for lack of a better phrase basically exposed her bits by boasting a cutaway feature down one side of her entire dress.

2015 Oscar Awards, Oscars After-Party, Academy Awards, Rita Ora, Gigi Hadid, Heidi Klum, Irina Shayk

Of course all of the girls looked ridiculously taught, tight and toned, and for once it wasn’t Miley Cyrus getting her kit off. But seriously ladies, the naked shock value thing is getting old. Every which way we look these days celebs are baring it all for the media and attaching a feminist message to it.

Patricia Arquette proved during her acceptance speech that we don’t need to be naked to get attention or make a statement. Now I’m not saying that the female body isn’t a beautiful thing, because it is! In all shapes and sizes. But arguably what I’m suggesting is that sometimes the message these celebrities are trying to convey often gets lost in the nakedness of it all.

So ladies, put away your nipples and PLEASE put some underwear on. Sometimes less really isn’t more.

Patricia Arquette Proves Feminism Isn’t Dead

We’ve all thought it, but Patricia Arquette said it: “It’s our time to have wage equality once and for all and equal rights for women.”

RELATED: ‘Real’ Image Of Cindy Crawford Causes A Stir

Taking to the stage at the 87th Academy Awards to accept her win for best-supporting actress in Boyhood, the 37-year old proved feminism isn’t dead by thanking mothers, tax-payers and demanding fair pay for women.

“To every woman who gave birth, to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation, we have fought for everybody else’s rights. It’s our time to have wage equality once and for all and equal rights for women in the United States of America,” said Arquette.

Fair pay among genders has been a lingering discussion for some time now, but it’s something that continues to be swept under the rug. In 2011 a study conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics revealed that the average weekly earnings for a full-time female worker was approximately 17% lower for women than men. While the reasons varied, the prominent influences were the undervaluation of skills and the restriction of employment prospects for workers with family responsibilities. Surprisingly these pay gaps also existed in female-dominated industries.

Let me ask you, should you have to give up your desire to have a family in order to be granted equal salary entitlements? And would you? Becoming a mother is a God-given right, so it doesn’t really seem like an appropriate proposition. While we’ve certainly come a long way since the 20th century when women were subject to roughly one third of a male’s salary, it seems there’s still a long way to go before the gap is closed.

Now before we go getting too political, let me remind you that feminism extends further than the female gender and is based upon a belief that everyone should have the same rights and opportunities despite their sex. So on that note, here is a powerful quote by Gloria Steinem that perfectly sums this up: “Though we have the courage to raise our daughters more like our sons, we’ve rarely had the courage to raise our sons like our daughters.”

2015 Oscars Trend: Porcelain Skin

As Hollywood’s elite took to the red carpet for the 2015 Oscar Awards today, we noticed there was something missing: fake tan! This year the A-list went ‘au naturel’ and ditched their bronzers in favour of polished porcelain skin.

RELATED: Throwback Thursday: The Return Of The Midriff

Celebrity make-up artist Lee Pycroft recently told the Daily Mail: “Alabaster skin is a chic, classy, beautiful look that’s been gunning for a renaissance. It’s been cherished by the fashion world for several years – think of all those Prada campaigns with Karen Elson – and now it’s taking centre stage.”

Whether sporting a red, grey or even black dress, ivory skin was certainly the most prominent trend at this years award ceremony, with stars including Margot Robbie, Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller and Anna Kendrick embracing their paler side.

Oscars Red Carpet Predictions: What They Might Wear

The Academy Awards, mostly known as “Oscars”,  is the most watched award show on the planet getting an unbelievable amount of 43 million viewers last year. So it’s no surprise that the who-is-who of Hollywood are putting in a lot of effort to look fabulous on the Oscar’s red carpet. Not only will the celebs be watched on TVs worldwide, but their photos will be in thousands of newspapers, magazines, and shamelessly scrutinising blogs the next day.

RELATED: Oscar’s Worst Red Carpet Dresses

The biggest pressure to look perfect is without a doubt felt by the contenders for ‘best actress in a leading role’, so we can only imagine that this year’s nominees Reese Witherspoon, Julianne Moore, Marion Cotillard, Felicity Jones, and Rosamund Pike are having a hard time deciding on a dress for the 22nd of February, the day of the event.

With Haute Couture Fashion Week having just finished and designers most definitely begging the actresses to wear their creations, the options are endless, so we put ourselves in the (expensive) shoes of Reese, Julianne, Marion, Felicity, and Rosamund and made the following predictions for their Oscar outfits:

Reese loves to channel old Hollywood glamour while showing a bit of skin, so this sparkly Zuhair Murad creation might be her choice for the big night.

Julianne Moore often surprises on the red carpet, but always stays elegant. We would love to see her in this dark blue Armani Privée gown.

As the face of Dior, it is very likely Marion Cotillard will opt for a dress from Christian Dior’s latest collection and this pink frock would look amazing on her.

Felicity Jones has had a lot of fun experimenting with different styles on the red carpet this year, so we think she might opt for a showstopper, like this slightly sheer Elie Saab gown.

Lastly, we predict that Rosamund Pike will show of her stunning post-baby body in a sexy Versace dress.

Throwback Thursday: Golden Globes 2004

January 27, 2004

Everyone knows that award shows aren’t just about the winners. Self-respecting, hard-working fashion victims around the globe sit glued to awards shows for hours, critiquing the outfits, the accessories, the boyfriends, the make up and the speeches. Come on, fess up. You do it, we all do it. Now, let’s compare notes…

Former royalty A-lister, Sarah Ferguson quite frankly should have stayed home! Her Cleopatra eye makeup was more Mardi Gras than Golden Globe… Someone who has all the right moves, however, is South African farm girl turned superstar Charlize Theron who made a fabulous entrance in Christian Dior. Gorgeous, charming and a winner through and through, taking home the best Actress award.

Blondes have more fun? Not so for Sarah Jessica Parker and that haute coute dress made especially for her by Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel looked stunning! Also looking like a million bucks was Jennifer Aniston, minus her most famous handbag, hubby Brad Pitt. Mrs Pitt also presented an award on the night, and it looked like she came dangerously close to popping out of her sexy dress with its super plunging neckline!

One of the spunkiest men on earth, Johnny Depp looked positively sexy in his old-style gangster get up, accompanied by his stunning wifey Vanessa Paradis. Sex in the City veteran Kim Cattrell looked just peachy with an up hair do, and a silky frock, that was ten times as classy as her alter ego Samantha has even been. Vintage Valentino will do that to a girl, darling.

Will and Grace star Debra Messing was positively glowing in a fab frock with loads of cleavage! Not a hint of frumpy maternity wear here! And that other fabulous-when-pregnant star Catherine Zeta Jones, self-appointed princess of Hollywood, rubbed everyone’s noses in it – talk about smug married! Queer Eye fav Carson got into the spring of things, sporting a pink jacket – how appropriate. Notably absent from the red carpet was another fiery raven-haired beauty, Penelope Cruz.

Current beau Tom Cruise was nominated for best actor, the award being presented by ex-wife Nicole Kidman. Now, that could have been one awkward moment. But luckily, for our Nic, neither Tom, nor good friends Russell Crowe and Jude Law took the title. Nic was a fashion star on the night with a stunning frock featuring a gold sequin bodice, plunging neckline and romantic flowing, chiffon skirt, courtesy of Yves Saint Laurent. Critics the world over have been commenting on our Nic’s style on this night of nights. To us, she can never put a foot wrong.

ARIAs 2014 Red Carpet Wrap-Up

From the cool to the questionable – the ARIAs red carpet saw some dramatic hits and misses this year.

Back in black, Delta Goodrem scored a definite hit with her stunning Steven Khalil gown. Cutting a killer figure in her fitted bodice with cascading train, Delta stylishly led the trend of the night in mixing sheer with bold body-con elements.

ARIAs

Lisa and Jess Origlasso aka the Veronicas looked striking in J’Aton Couture. With all of the beautiful beading and intricate detailing to their outfits, the twins looked sexy yet sophisticated.

ARIAs

Monty Cox looked flawless wearing the vibrant Souls in Motion dress by Alice McCall. The interesting print was so well styled with slicked down locks and elegant drop down earrings.

ARIAs

Renowned for her fun red carpet choices, Katy Perry’s arrival was eagerly anticipated. To her credit she opted to support an Australian designer, Jaime Lee Major. The heavily embellished cropped top and skirt reportedly took over 400 hours to make! I’m digging the dark lip, but I’m not wild about the retro headscarf.

ARIAs

I was left feeling underwhelmed (and disorientated) by Kate Peck’s and Charli XCX’s red carpet form.

But who could compare with dynamic duo Alex Dyson and Matt Okine channeling SIA and Chet Faker?! Best dressed every time!

The best place in the world to be on raceday is at the actual race, of course! Queen of neo-soul Erykah Badu will be in attendance at the Lavazza marquee – Caffé Lavazza – on Emirates Melbourne Cup Day. All eyes will be on Badu not only for her performance but also her choice of hat, which is generating talk due to Badu’s love of signature high, eclectic and unique headwear. This year marks 12 years of Lavazza’s involvement in the Melbourne Cup Carnival, with an ever-strong entertainment line-up. In that time, guests have been entertained by the likes of Richie Sambora, Mel B, Roger Sanchez, Heather Small, Sarah De Bono, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Vogue Williams and other talented performers.

Fashion Bloggers co-star Sara Donaldson (right) of harperandharley.com who wore a delicate lace fascinator with her Dion Lee dress offered another style tip, “Pick a hemline that is to the knee or just below. This will give you elegance – something that sadly is missing from race days in recent times,” she said.

The Winners of the Fashions on the Field final had all noticeably taken this on board, mixing up conservative lengths with fresh colour blocking and geometric detailing.

The well deserved winners who will share in a prize pool worth $100,000 are:

The Most Shocking Red Carpet Dresses

I always look forward to the award season and the fashion that comes with it – most celebrities choose tasteful attire, but there are always a few questionable outfit choices that turn heads for all the wrong reasons. So here we look back at some of the most shocking dresses (or costumes) to ever grace the red carpet.

Lady Gaga is well known for stepping our in some shocking attire but this meat dress that she wore to the 2010 MTV Music Awards really took the cake. Made from raw meat the dress was meant to be in protest of gay soldiers who had been discharged of service. She said about the dress “Dead meat is dead meat and anyone that’s willing to risk their life and die for their country is the same. You’re not gay and dead, straight and dead. You are dead.”

The Most Shocking Red Carpet Dresses

Nicki Minaj is another celebrity who loves to make us gasp when she steps into the limelight and this little red riding hood inspired dress was no exception. At the 2012 Grammy Awards she was slammed for this dress for unsuccessfully trying to compete with the crazy style of Lady Gaga.

The Most Shocking Red Carpet Dresses

Sasha Gradiva is a Russian singer and wore this bizarre terminator-style ensemble to the 2012 Grammy Awards. On her official website she stated that she loves fashion that makes her stand out from the crowd and this dress teamed with the odd fake gun accessory definitely had the desired effect.

The Most Shocking Red Carpet Dresses

Baring all and leaving nothing to the imagination, Rihanna set tongues wagging at the 2014 CFDA Awards, there to accept her CFDA Fashion Icon award. She was heard telling reporters that “you will never be stylish if you don’t take risks.” I agree with her statement, but disagree with that dress!

The Most Shocking Red Carpet Dresses

Former Playboy model Tess Smith left us all asking one question when she stepped out on the 2005 Emmy Awards red carpet – WHY? All it would have taken was one gust of wind and the crowd might have seen more than they bargained for. Tess Smith took the phrase less is more way too literally on this occasion.

The Most Shocking Red Carpet Dresses

Stepping back in time to 1999, Lil Kim shocked many at the MTV Video Music Awards in this purple mermaid-inspired jumpsuit. Many years later in 2013 controversial Miley Cyrus recreated the look for Halloween and set the media into a frenzy once again.  I can’t really decide who wore it better because it’s just so… wrong.

The Most Shocking Red Carpet Dresses

When Amber Rose stepped out in this skimpy dress (if you can call it a dress) at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards she certainly turned heads. Wearing a Laura Dewitt design she didn’t leave much to the imagination in this sparkly, bejewelled number.

Best Dressed At InStyle’s Men Of Style Awards

InStyle Magazine hosted a glam cocktail party at the Marble Bar last night to honour a select pool of stylish Aussie men. Amongst the 10 gents to make the list was acclaimed actor Geoffrey Rush.

While the presence of this A-lister at the event caused quite the commotion amongst guests, it was but a momentary distraction in what we all came to see – who wore what dress and who wore it best. Here are my top five style savvy guests:

Dannii Minogue

Dannii Minogue

Yes, the party was held in association with Hugo Boss, but Dannii Minogue looked fab in this label regardless. Her black floor length gown with tribal inspired metallic detailing at the waist and neckline flattered in all the right places.

Laura Dundovic

Laura Dundovic

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Laura look bad on the red carpet. Looking sleek and sophisticated, Laura wore a Yeojin Bae dress this time with a square apron neckline with cut away back and slimline skirt. Her clutch is by Balenciaga, ring by Roberto Cavalli and those opulent earrings are by Dolce and Gabanna.

Rochelle Fox

Rochelle Fox

Rochelle Fox stood out in her sheer white Long Walks jumpsuit by Alice McCall. I liked the whimsical half up half down curls with topknot for this look.

Grace Huang

Grace Huang

Grace Huang looked pretty and feminine in this gorgeous dress from Ginger and Smart’s Dualism SS14 Collection.

Abby Earl

Abby Earl

A place to Call Home’s Abby Earl looked cool in oxblood Gucci paired with boots and studded clutch.

30 Days Of Fashion And Beauty Launch

Sydney’s style set celebrated the 8th annual 30 Days of Fashion & Beauty launch this week with a glamorous pink runway show.  Staged dramatically in an illuminated marquee at the forecourt of St Mary’s Cathedral, featured designers included Carla Zampatti, Alex Perry, Jayson Brunsdon, Camilla & Marc, Ginger & Smart and Akira.

This year’s face of the campaign, Cheyenne Tozzi, posed pre-show in a flattering white asymmetric jumpsuit before hitting the catwalk in a satin dress with structured trench. It was a softer look for the model and presenter, accessorised with a sparkling Swarovski jewel-toned necklace.

Showcasing designers were asked to present two looks – one from their current collection and the other being an iconic ‘breakthrough’ piece from their archives.  Jayson Brunsdon’s signature Audrey Hepburn print dress featured, as well as Alice McCall’s recognisable ‘lipstick’ print top and skirt from her Resort 2015 collection.

Red Carpet Report: The 14th Annual Helpmann Awards

The freezing weather earlier this week failed to put a dampener on the Helpmann Awards red carpet, with plenty of knock out gowns gracing the show-biz crowd.

Danielle Cormack wowed as a strawberry blonde in her metallic hued Johanna Johnson dress. Her shorter curled hairstyle worked so well with the dramatic train and amber cocktail ring.

Dannielle Cormack

Erica Heynatz also looked great in gold. Her pretty silk dress is by Salvatore Ferragamo.

Erika Heynatz

Legally Blonde’s Lucy Durack enjoyed showing off the gorgeous beaded detailing in her gown by Paolo Sebastian.

Sarah Murdoch went for a more understated look this year. She seems to be making a conscious effort to promote her position as Deputy Chair of the Australian Ballet. Note the chic sheer black ‘suit’ with tie alongside principal dancer Lucinda Dunn in show-stopping silver.

It wouldn’t be the Helpmann Awards without the presence of Australian theatre royalty Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin. Baz looked so dapper in his black suit alongside CM, who wore a custom ruffled Romance Was Born dress.

Stars of Strictly Ballroom Phoebe Panaretos and Thomas Lacey looked striking on the red carpet. Phoebe braved the cold in a sheer embellished Carla Zampatti dress.

The 2014 Met Ball: What This Year Will Bring

The Met Ball, an event not to be missed by anyone who is anyone in fashion will be held this Monday the 5th of May. Attendees will be more sophisticated than ever, strictly dressed in the theme ‘White Tie and Decorations’ in honour of British designer Charles James. Guests will look like royalty to climb the 72 steps in heavy couture to impress the queen of fashion herself Anna Wintour. Expect to see vintage, vintage and more vintage.

Dress code

The red carpet will be filled with ball gowns, gloves, satin and a whole lot of diamonds, get ready to be jealous ladies! We’re talking high society, designers like Oscar de la renta, Dior, Balenciaga, Givenchy and Valentino.

I bet you’re wondering what eye candy to look out for too…don’t worry you won’t be disappointed. The men will look like the Prince of your dreams, with top hats, white waistcoats, gloves, cuff links, bow ties, and tail coats.

Who will be there?

Unfortunately beloved Gwenyth Paltrow declined her invitation this year, not really unexpected when she spoke out about how unimpressed she was with 2013’s event.

But not to worry…

Bradley Cooper will be along side Sarah Jessica Parker as cochair’s.

The Met Ball just wouldn’t be the same without SJP, she is the one to look out for on the red carpet. Each year we see her embracing each theme to the maximum, lets not forget that punk rockin gold and black headpiece.

Met Ball 2014, Anna Wintour, Sarah Jessica Parker, Fashion, Red carpet, Metropolitan Museum

Just to keep things interesting, Kanye West will also be attending and you never know what will happen when he graces these events with his presence. There’s no doubt Kim Kardashian will be right beside West, but let’s hope she makes a come back from last year’s get up. The skin-tight, busily printed dress caused her to be compared to a blimp and sofa.

Then there is the most anticipated attendee…First Lady Michelle Obama. Who, the morning of the gala is to cut the ribbon to the Anna Wintour Costume Center, previously the Costume Institute.

It seems the 2014 Met Ball will be an eventful night, make sure you check back in with SheSaid next week for the recap!

Best Celebrity Fashion at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party

The only place to be after the Oscars is the Vanity Fair Oscar Party hosted by Graydon Carter. And the fashion at the after-parties is always more interesting than on the Oscars red carpet. Here are our picks for the hottest after-party celebrity fashion.

Golden girl Lupita Nyong’o changed into a sea foam green Miu Miu gown with beaded fringe on the neckline. So pretty.

vanietyfair2

We much prefer Amy Adams’ one-shoulder Grecian Carolina Herrera after-party dress to her navy Oscars gown – what do you think?

vanityfair6

Kate Hudson continued her Oscars fashion winning streak, changing into this gorgeous Zuhair Murad gown.

Reese Witherspoon looked lovely in a calf-length BOSS dress with plunging neckline (and side boob!).

The Highs and Lows at the Oscars

The Oscars 2014: so much build up, but then it’s all over after 3.5 excruciating hours. We give last night’s Oscars a B+ – it was pretty good, but could have been better. But it did redeem itself with the best movie of the night taking home Best Picture. Let’s take a look at some of the highs and lows…

The Highs
Some amazing speeches: Jared Leto kicked things off with a stunning speech dedicated to his mother, with a well-intentioned nod to Ukraine and Venezuela; and Lupita Nyongo’s beautiful, honest speech: “It doesn’t escape me that so much joy in my life is thanks to so much pain in someone else’s…when I look down at this golden statue, may it remind me and every little child, that no matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid.”

The Lows
John Travolta introducing Frozen singer Idina Menzel as Adele Dazim. What an embarrassment. We don’t even need to mention his ever-changing hair line.

The Highs
Pharrell Williams singing Happy and dancing with front row A-listers including Lupita Nyong’o, Amy Adams and Meryl Streep (but Jennifer Lawrence was too shy!).

The Lows
We love Pink, but her voice is way too strong for a delicate song like Over the Rainbow. An odd choice.

The Highs
The best celebrity selfie of all time. Ellen crashed Twitter with her all-star Oscars selfie – producers are already thinking how they’ll top that in 2015.

The Lows
Too much Samsung product placement with Ellen waving that phone in the screen for the first half of the night. And Coke splattered all over the pizza boxes.

The Highs
Ellen’s funniest line of the night? To Jonah Hill: “You showed us something in that film that I have not seen for a very long time.”

The Lows
Kim Novak’s plastic surgery disaster. A beautiful talented woman becomes the butt of everyone’s jokes because of too much bad surgery. So sad.

The Highs
The Aussie takeover! Cate Blanchett giving a shoutout to Australia, and Catherine Martin’s two Oscar wins, joking about keeping her speech in her bra, “a very Australian thing to do.”

The Lows
The pizza bit seemed like a good idea, but it really dragged on. And on. Brownie points for Brad Pitt though being the consummate gentleman and handing out paper plates – and then tucking into his pizza. Oh, La-La-Land…

The Highs
Director Steve McQueen’s obvious love for his 12 Years a Slave team, sending Lupita kisses during her acceptable speech, and the heartfelt hugs to Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt. This is filmmaking at its best.

The Oscars Selfie Is The Most Retweeted Post Ever

How do you crash Twitter? Take an all-star celebrity selfie at the Oscars!

Host Ellen DeGeneres broke records by taking a selfie featuring Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Lupita Nyong’, Kevin Spacey, Jared Leto and more A-listers, and was retweeted more than 2.4 million times,

DeGeneres wrote: ‘If only Bradley’s arm was longer. Best photo ever. #oscars pic.twitter.com/C9U5NOtGap

“We crashed and broke Twitter. We made history,” DeGeneres said during the show. “It’s fantastic. See what we did, Meryl?”

The hilarious tweet surpassed the previous record holder of most retweets, Barack Obama’s photo showing him hugging his wife Michelle Obama on his 2012 reelection, captioned “Four more years” which clocked 780,000 retweets.

Oscars Worst Red Carpet Dresses

What would the Oscars be without the worst dressed celebrities? We’re live updating the worst of the Oscars red carpet.

oscars13

We can’t help but think Julia Roberts looks frumpy in this black lace number. But it looks like peplum is the big trend this year…

oscars10

Emma Watson wowed us at the Golden Globes in her tangerine pants-dress, but this glittery tank dress doesn’t really do anything for us.

oscars9

Anne Hathaway is statuesque in this Gucci gown, but isn’t it a little, meh?  She usually looks amazing on the red carpet, but we were hoping for a little more edge at the Oscars.

oscars2

Naomi Watts’ Calvin Klein Collection dress is lovely, but the styling messes with the overall look. The brushed back hair, the chunky necklace, and the pointy shoulders detract from what could have been a Grace Kelly-esque red carpet appearance.

oscars8

What happened to Elvira, I mean, Margot Robbie? The dark hair, the dark lips, the bad 80’s formal dress…don’t you hate when bad fashion happens to the beautiful people?

oscars9

There’s nothing really wrong with Amy Adams’ navy Gucci Premiere gown, but it’s just a little boring. Is it a carbon copy of Amy’s? The peplum detail is unnecessary.

oscars7

And there’s nothing really wrong with Jennifer Lawrence’s red Dior dress, with diamond necklace that drapes down her back. But she’s 23, and this is a much older dress. After all the fun dresses she’s been wearing on the red carpet lately, this is a bit of a letdown.

oscars4

Anna Kendrick is really dressing older than she is, and the midriff detail just ruins an already dull look.

Oscars Best Red Carpet Dresses

We’re live updating the Oscars red carpet best dressed celebrities from Cate to Lupita. Who is your best dressed?

oscars15

It almost doesn’t matter what Brad and Angelina wear to the Oscars: they’re the power couple we can’t take our eyes off. Sure, we preferred Angelina’s 2013 thigh-high split gown to this year’s sparkly Elie Saab, but hey, it’s Brangelina!

oscars14

Sandra Bullock is incredible in Gravity, and we love her Oscars red carpet choice: elegant strapless navy. And great hair.

oscars11

Charlize Theron is always the glamazon and she rocks this strapless Dior dress with pulled back hair.

oscars12

Kate Hudson is so elegant in this 1920’s-inspired ivory number with plunging neckline. Love it!

oscars6

Cate Blanchett stuns is her first truly red carpet gown (she’s known for her funky and unconventional choices) but we love this sparkly nude Armani Prive gown that compliments her blonde locks and alabaster skin so well.

oscars3

Julie Delpy is the epitome of old Hollywood glamour, complete with Veronica Lake waves and classic red lips.

oscars1

All eyes were on Lupita Nyong’o after her red carpet wins this award season, and she hasn’t disappointed at the Oscars, wearing this enchanting white princess gown and matching headband.

oscars5

Kerry Washington looks beautiful in her strapless purple silk Jason We gown, with matching plum lips.
