Fruit in Cinnamon Syrup

Instead of the traditional fruit cake this summer, how a lighter dessert that includes some of our summer fruits on Christmas Day!

1 tablespoon CSR SMART
3/4 cup orange juice
3 teaspoons lemon juice
2 cinnamon sticks
Season fruit: strawberries, blueberries, peaches, plums, rasberries or apricots.
Yoghurt for serving

1. Combine CSR SMART, orange juice, lemon juice and cinnamon in a small saucepan and stir over a medium heat until the CSR SMART has dissolved. Simmer for 3 minute, then cool syrup to allow cinnamon to infuse.
2. Drizzle over your favourite seasonal fruits.
3. Enjoy served with yoghurt.

Wine suggestions from Winsor Dobbin
McWilliam?s 2004 Riverina Botrytis Semillon – McWilliam?s was the winery that pioneered the style of Riverina noble-rot dessert wines back in 1958, and it remains one of the industry leaders. This is a sweet wine with immense depth of flavour (think dried apricots and nuts) and lovely richness without being too cloying on the palate. If you are looking for a wine to enjoy with mince tarts, Christmas pudding or simply a fruit platter, this fits the bill perfectly. Serve chilled. $30 for 375ml.
