Get The Look: Miranda Kerr For David Jones – how to
?Napoleon Perdis shares his favourite makeup trends for spring/summer, looks that suit all skin tones.
“Spring/Summer is always about colour and this year it’s no different,” says Perdis. “Working with stylist Kelvin Harries, I had a preview of some of the pieces and noticed that there’s a strong trend for saturated primary colours – especially reds, oranges, and pinks. So I’ve reflected that direction through to two strong lip hues to anchor the whole look: a matte orange and a matte red.
“The other strong message for this season: it’s all about pastel power! I love a pastel palette for summer – for David Jones I’ve customised two gorgeous shades of eye shadow in a powdery blue and a soft spearmint. I’ve added some white into both hues to keep it chalky and totally matte. I think the spearmint is my favourite…and it looks amazing against brown eyes. The clash of pastels against the red and orange lips is a really modern way to wear colour – just keep it matte!
Napoleon’s how-to on Miranda Kerr:
“Just a little of The One Concealer and a light application of Camera Finish Powder Foundation.
“New Mosaic Powder in Flushing (a pretty mosaic of pink and peach hues) mixed with a little Loose Eye Dust in Starlight to highlight her cheek and brow bones.
“I did some contouring work in her sockets with some subtle neutrals from a lab sample of my new Ultimate Nude Palette (available in October) and applied lots of Mesmer-Eyes Mascara to further accentuate those brilliant blue eyes.
“Then I managed to talk Miranda into lining the inner rim of her eyes with a brown pencil for a more casual smoky eye.
“I customised a colour for her which was a blend of DeVine Goddess Lipstick in Aphrodite pressed into the lips with some of my new NP Set Lip Balm With Benefits in Baja.”
