Get The Look: Natural, Glowing Skin Using Powder Bronzer

May 18, 2012

With summer behind us many of us are feeling pale and unhealthy. Here’s how to apply powder bronzers you look radiant and glowing, and never patchy or orange. Remember less is more, so always start with a light hand – you can always go back and apply more bronzer.

Step 1. Exfoliate the skin

Always exfoliate so your skin is smooth and clean.

Step 2. Moisturise

Powder bronzer appears patchy if the skin isn’t properly hydrated, so always smooth on your favourite day or night cream.

Step 3. The ‘3 pattern’

With a big fluffy brush, tap the brush into a little powder bronzer and tap out any excess powder. Start at the hair line and softly apply, followed by the temple and then jaw line. You’re drawing a ‘3 shape’, creating definition around the frame of the face. Repeat on the other side of your face.

Step 4. Focus on where the sun hits your face

Again, tapping your brush into a little powder, gently apply to where the sun naturally hits your face: the length of the nose, the chin and forehead. You want the application to be really light.

Step 5. Create definition

Apply a little more bronzer on the cheeks and cheekbones to finish the look.

What’s your favourite powder bronzer?
