Henry Roth’s Top 6 Spring Racing Looks

“This season is about feminine and floaty soft lines and confident colours demure from hot pink to natural nude. The frame makes a sexy entry with bold statements in shape, texture and colour that can complete your racing fashion look” – Henry Roth.

If you need help preparing your Melbourne Cup outfit, Project Runway Australia’s Henry Roth is here to help with his six favourite spring racing looks! As Specsavers style ambassador he’s also paired each look with matching sexy frames.

1. The floaty chiffon soft print frock

The floaty chiffon soft pink frock is hitting spring Carnival this season big time. Think 70’s caftan gone for a make-over. The prints are bold, and bright.

Match with cranberry coloured frames to perfect the look or play with one major colour from the print and highlight in the frame for cheeky chic .

2. The little black dress never went anywhere

In spring time, the little black dress makes the perfect backdrop for dramatic splashes of bright cerise, hot mandarin and aqua. The shape is a 50’s waisted Audrey Hepburn style.

Wear with Lois Lane inspired thick, black specs for faux vulnerability

3. The crisp tailored suit jacket and skirt

The Quentin Bryce couture look is so elegant. Wear light coloured pastels including nudes, and light canary yellow.

This style is perfect with aqua or multi-coloured specs.

4. Animal Prints will make a grand entrance this spring

Straight from the Milan runway, animal prints are fun and flirtatious, with lots of attitude.

Match with textured or red frames or switch things around and wear animal print frames with a red or black dress, such as these Red or Dead frames (SKU: 25054798).

5. The deep plunge back or V front

The deep plunge back or V front will be the latest shape to hit the Spring Carnival this year and see how the boys will fall for it!

Contrast this by going really coy and shy with a rimless or metal frame .

6. White frocks will be hot this spring

Here comes the bride not, but here comes one fabulous frock!

White looks stunning with metallic accessories to set off a fabulous tan .
