Here’s Why Whiskey Is The New Vodka

November 17, 2016

Whiskey. Is. In.

Whether you want to have a stiff drink at the end of the day or make a delicious, extra-boozy cocktail, there is one spirit bartenders say is the biggest up-and-comer in the cocktail world: whiskey.

Whiskey is an insanely underrated beverage with a plethora of health benefits – just like tequila. When it was originally created back in the 13th century, it was actually used by monks to treat diseases. Who’da thunk it?!

Besides being seriously low carb and delish, research has found drinking small amounts of single-malt whiskeys can even help prevent cancer. In fact, when consumed in moderation, whiskey can lower your chance of having a stroke, reduce your risk of developing heart disease and even lower your risk of developing dementia.

The word whiskey actually means ‘water of life’ – basically, everything points to the dark horse of the spirit world being a top alcoholic option. So to really give whiskey a chance to become your fave drink of all time, give these simple, tasty cocktails a try…
